Short Range Forecast Discussion NWS Weather Prediction Center College Park MD 325 PM EST Fri Nov 20 2015 Valid 00Z Sat Nov 21 2015 - 00Z Mon Nov 23 2015 ...Heavy snow possible from Iowa to Southern Michigan... ...Heavy rain possible over parts of Southern Florida... ...Temperatures will be 10 to 15 degrees below average over the Southern/Central Plains into parts of the Middle Mississippi Valley... A storm over the Central Plains will deepen while moving northeastward to Southwestern Quebec by Sunday. Moisture from the Western Gulf of Mexico will move northward to the Middle Mississippi Valley and move eastward the Northern Appalachians by late Saturday night into Sunday. Snow will develop over parts of the Middle Missouri Valley into the Great Lakes from Friday evening into Saturday evening, with the snow tapering down over the Great Lakes by Sunday morning. As the associated front moves out of the Rockies and onto the Southern Plains, rain will develop along the boundary from parts of the Southern Plains into the Lower Mississippi Valley, late Friday night, that will move eastward to the Mid-Atlantic to the Southeast by Sunday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along parts of the Gulf Coast from Saturday morning into Sunday morning, ending from west to east. Additionally, an old front over Southern Florida that will slowly move northward off the Southeast Coast by Saturday evening. The system will produce rain with embedded thunderstorms over the southern portion of Florida on Friday evening that will expand over the state on Saturday.
