A quasi-stationary front extending from the Southern Mid-Atlantic across the Tennessee Valley into the Lower Mississippi Valley will become absorbed into a new system moving out of the Southern Rockies by Tuesday morning. Moisture from the Gulf of Mexico will pool along the boundary producing rain from parts of the Western Gulf Coast to the Mid-Atlantic through Tuesday. A developing storm over the Southern Rockies will lift northward to the Upper Mississippi Valley by Tuesday morning. The associated front extending from the Southern High Plains over the Southern Rockies/Southwest, on Monday morning, will move northeastward to the Upper Mississippi Valley/Upper Great Lakes southward across the Lower Mississippi Valley by Tuesday. The system will absorb the quasi-stationary front over the southeastern portion of the country by Tuesday morning. The storm will produce snow over parts of the Central Rockies/Central High plains late Sunday night ending by Monday evening. The snow will move into parts of the Central/Northern Plains/Middle Missouri Valley on Monday and into parts of the Upper Mississippi Valley/Upper Great Lakes Monday night into Tuesday morning. An area of rain/freezing rain will develop over parts of the Central Plains into the Middle Missouri Valley late Sunday night into late Monday. In addition, rain will develop over parts of the Central/Southern Plains on Sunday evening and move into parts of the Great Lakes/Ohio Valley overnight Monday. On Tuesday, the rain will move into parts of the Northeast. Meanwhile, a dissipating front over the Pacific will move close to the Northwest Coast on Monday, dissipating by Tuesday morning. The system will produce light rain along the Pacific Northwest/Northern California Coast by Monday morning, waning by Tuesday morning.
