A front extending from the Northern High Plains to the Great Basin and then across parts of Southern California will move eastward to the Upper Mississippi Valley/Central Plains to parts of the Southern High Plains by Saturday evening. The system will produce rain along the Pacific Northwest Coast into the Northern California Coast and snow at the higher elevations of the Northern Intermountain Region/Northern Rockies through Saturday morning. As the boundary moves onto the Plains, moisture will pool along the front aiding in the development of rain from parts of the Central Plains to the Upper Mississippi Valley/Upper Great Lakes by Saturday evening. Meanwhile on Saturday, a new front approaches the Pacific Northwest. An accompanying plume of Pacific moisture will intercept the Northwest Coast producing heavy rain over parts of the area and heavy snow over parts of the Northern Cascades on Saturday. Elsewhere, a front will linger near the southern tip of Florida through Saturday. High moisture content air will pool along the boundary through mostly Saturday morning. Showers and thunderstorms will develop over the region through late Friday night. Rain will continue over parts of the Southern Florida on Saturday.
