A front extending from the Northern Plains southward to the Southern Rockies will move eastward to Great Lakes to the Lower Mississippi Valley while dissipating by Sunday evening. Moisture will pool along the boundary producing light rain over parts of the Upper Great Lakes/Upper Mississippi Valley from Saturday night into Sunday. Meanwhile, a deep upper-level low over the Eastern Pacific will move eastward into the West Coast and weaken by Sunday evening. A bundle of upper-level energy will move into the West Coast on Sunday morning. An associated plume of moisture will move into the Pacific Northwest Coast Saturday morning into Sunday afternoon, followed by a second plume of moisture by Sunday evening. Rain will move into the Northwest Coast on Saturday morning and begin to move into Northern California by late Saturday night then continue over the area through Sunday. The rain will move into parts of the Northern Intermountain Region on Sunday with snow at the highest elevations. In addition, snow will develop over the Northern Cascades Saturday into Sunday. Elsewhere, an old front lingering near southern Florida will aid in producing rain with a few embedded thunderstorms through Sunday.
