A front extending from the Upper Great Lakes to the Middle Mississippi Valley then southward to the Southern Plains will move eastward to the Ohio Valley/Lower Mississippi Valley and weaken significantly by Monday morning. By Monday evening the system moves over the Gulf Stream, that will re-energize the storm over the Western Atlantic. Moisture pooling near the boundary will aid in producing scattered rain over parts of the Upper Great Lakes to parts of the Middle Mississippi Valley will move to parts of the Ohio Valley/Central Appalachians by Monday morning. Rain will develop over parts of the Southern Mid-Atlantic Coast also on Monday. Meanwhile, a series of upper-level energy impulses will move into the Pacific Northwest through Monday. Moisture associated with the energy will stream over the coast producing heavy rain over the Pacific Northwest into Northern California through Monday. Heavy snow will develop over parts of the Northern Cascades also through Monday. While snow will also develop over parts of the Northern Intermountain Region at the higher elevations and rain at lower elevations. Elsewhere, a lingering front near the southern tip of Florida will aid in producing light rain over parts of Southern Florida through Monday.
