A cold front moving southward over the Great Lakes and the Northeast will travel to the Mid-Atlantic before dissipating by Monday evening. The energy associated with the front will aid in producing lake effect/lake enhanced snow downwind from the Great Lakes through Monday evening. In addition, upper-level energy moving over the Gulf Coast will aid in producing rain over parts of the Eastern Gulf Coast and Florida that will end from west to east on Monday morning. Meanwhile, an upper-level trough over the Pacific will swing onshore over California into the Southwest by Monday evening. Moisture associated with the upper-level trough will stream onshore over the California Coast aiding in the development of coastal rain and higher elevation snow over parts of the Northern California on Sunday morning. The rain and higher elevation snow will move into Southern/Central California and the Pacific Northwest by Sunday evening into Monday evening.
