Heavy snow is possible across the Southern Rockies---the mountains of Arizona and Four Corners area---Wednesday and Wednesday night... ...More rain is expected across the southern Plains and Ozarks on Wednesday into Thursday morning... An active weather scenario will be setting up across the southwest quarter of the nation --- from the central California coast to the central Plains --- during the next 48 to 60 hours. A series of Pacific systems will produce periods of wind, rain and snowfall across this portion of the lower 48---including heavy snowfall events for the southern Rockies. Widespread rains are expected for the southern Plains and lower half of the Mississippi Valley. Cold high pressure and dry conditions will be the prevailing conditions across the East, Southeast and Midwest through Thursday morning.
