Storm over the Middle/Upper Mississippi Valley will move northeastward into East-Central Canada by Tuesday evening. Snow will develop over the Upper Mississippi Valley and parts of the Middle Mississippi Valley/Upper Great Lakes on Monday evening through late Tuesday night. Rain will also develop over parts of the Ohio Valley southward to the Lower Mississippi Valley/Western Gulf Coast that will move eastward to parts of the Northeast and the Mid-Atlantic by Tuesday morning and off the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic Coast by Wednesday morning. In addition, the rain will move to the Central Appalachians and parts of the Southeast while remaining over the Lower Mississippi Valley through Wednesday morning. In the wake of the system, lake effect snow will develop downwind of the Great Lakes late Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. Furthermore, upper-level energy will move into the Southeast on Tuesday night as moisture surges northward from the Gulf of Mexico over Florida producing rain over Southern Florida by Wednesday morning. Additionally, a weakening front over the North Pacific will come into parts of the Pacific Northwest overnight Monday bringing rain to parts of the Pacific Northwest late Monday evening into Tuesday night. A second front will approach the Northwest Coast by Wednesday morning producing more rain over parts of the Pacific Northwest.
