Deep upper-level trough over the eastern third of the country will slowly move off the East Coast while leaving a substantial trough over the eastern third of the country into Thursday evening. With cold air flowing over the open waters of the Great Lakes, lake effect snow will develop downwind from the Great Lakes and over the Higher elevations of the Northern/Central Appalachians along with parts of New England through Thursday evening. Meanwhile, upper-level energy and additional upper-level dynamics will aid in producing light snow over parts of the Northern Plains into the Middle/Upper Mississippi Valley on Wednesday ending overnight Wednesday. In addition, another upper-level disturbance will move over the Northern High Plains to the Central Plains on Thursday. The energy will trigger light snow over region on Thursday morning into Thursday evening. Additionally, multiple decaying front over the Northern Pacific will move near the Pacific Northwest from Wednesday into Thursday.
