A front moving onshore over the West Coast will move eastward to the Middle/Upper Mississippi Valley to the Southern High Plains by Friday. Moisture associated with the boundary will move over the West Coast producing rain along the coast from Washington State to Central/Southern California by Wednesday evening. As the front moves inland, snow levels will lower over the West Coast as snow develops over the higher elevations from the Pacific Northwest to Central California by Thursday morning. Snow and lower elevation rain will develop over parts of the Northern/Central Rockies and the Great Basin as the system moves farther eastward on Thursday. Overnight Thursday, the rain and snow will end over Central/Southern California as rain develops over parts of the Northern Plains. In addition, rain and snow will develop over parts of the Upper Great Lakes Thursday night into Friday. Meanwhile, a reinforcing front over parts of the Northeast to the Lower Great Lakes will move eastward off the Northeast Coast on Thursday morning. The system will produce light snow over parts of the Lower Great Lakes and the Northern/Central Appalachians moving into parts of Northern New England before ending by Thursday afternoon.
