A front approaching the Northwest will dissipate after coming onshore over the Pacific Northwest by Sunday evening. The system will produce rain and higher elevation snow over parts of the Pacific Northwest on Sunday afternoon into evening. By Monday morning, snow and lower elevation will develop over parts of the Northern Rockies. In addition behind the system, onshore flow will aid in producing coastal rain and higher elevation snow over the Northwest Coast. Meanwhile, upper-level energy over the Northern Rockies will move eastward to the Mid-Atlantic by Monday morning. The energy will produce snow and lower elevation rain over parts of the Northern Rockies to the Northern Plains on Saturday evening that will move to the Northern Rockies/Upper Mississippi Valley by Sunday morning. The area of rain and snow will move into the Upper Mississippi Valley/Upper Great Lakes and dissipate by Sunday evening. Additionally, a front over the Northeast will move eastward off the Northeast Coast by Sunday morning.
