A front approaching the Northwest will dissipate after coming onshore over the Pacific Northwest by Sunday evening. The system will produce rain and higher elevation snow over parts of the Pacific Northwest on Sunday afternoon into evening. By Monday morning, snow and lower elevation rain will develop over parts of the Northern Rockies. In addition behind the system, onshore flow will aid in producing coastal rain and higher elevation snow over the Northwest Coast by Monday morning, too. Meanwhile, upper-level energy over the Northern Rockies will move eastward to the Mid-Atlantic by Monday morning. The energy will produce snow and lower elevation rain over parts of the Northern Rockies to the Northern Plains on Saturday evening that will move to the Northern Rockies/Upper Mississippi Valley by Sunday morning. The area of rain and snow will move into the Upper Mississippi Valley/Upper Great Lakes and dissipate by Sunday evening. Additionally, a front over the Northeast will move eastward off the Northeast Coast by Sunday morning. The system will produce snow and lower elevation rain over parts of the Northeast through Sunday evening. Behind the front, light snow will develop over parts of Lower Great Lakes into the Northeast, dissipating by late Sunday night. A reinforcing front over the Upper Great Lakes will move eastward to the Northeast Coast by Sunday night. The boundary will trigger light snow over parts of the Upper Great Lakes through early Sunday morning. Elsewhere, a front extending from the Ohio Valley to the Southern Plains will slowly sink southward to the Carolinas to the Western Gulf Coast by Monday morning. Moisture will pool along the boundary aiding in the development of showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Tennessee Valley into parts of the Middle/Lower Mississippi Valley on Saturday evening. The showers and thunderstorm will expand along the front into parts of the Central Appalachians by Sunday morning and extending from the Mid-Atlantic to the Southern Plains by Sunday evening.
