Low pressure over the Upper Mississippi Valley will travel along a quasi-stationary front extending from the Great Lakes eastward to Northern New England. The low will move into Southeastern Canada by Monday morning while trailing a cold front from just off the Northeast Coast to the Carolinas by Monday evening. Light snow will develop over the Northern Plains eastward to the Upper Great Lakes and over parts of Northern New England on Sunday morning with the snow ending over the Northern Plains/Upper Mississippi Valley by Sunday evening. Snow and rain will move into the Great Lakes and parts of the Northern Ohio Valley also on Sunday evening. The snow will end over parts of the Great Lakes by Monday morning while rain develops along the front from the Lower Great Lakes to parts of the Lower Mississippi Valley overnight Sunday. The rain will move from the Lower Great Lakes/Ohio Valley to off the Northeast Coast by Monday evening. Another front over Central-Western Canada will move southward over the Upper Midwest extending to the Lower Great Lakes to the Central Plains and along the foot hills of the Northern/Central Rockies on Monday. Snow will develop over parts of the Northern Rockies/Upper Mississippi Valley on early Monday morning that will move into the Upper Great Lakes and parts of the Northern Appalachians by Monday evening. Meanwhile, a front moving onshore over the West Coast will move inland to the Central Rockies to the Great Basin that will dissipate by Monday afternoon. As the system moves inland, onshore flow will develop over the Northwest streaming moisture off the Pacific producing rain and higher elevation snow over the region. The rain and higher elevation snow will expand eastward to the Northern Rockies by Sunday evening. Snow and lower elevation rain will move into the Northern High Plains by Monday morning and into the Central Rockies/Northern Plains by Monday evening. The onshore flow ends on Monday morning ahead of the next system as the rain and higher elevation snow ends over the Northwest on Monday.
