A front extending from the Northern Appalachians to the Southern Appalachians to parts of the Southern Plains will quickly move off the Northeast Coast by late Monday night, while the western portion of the boundary dissipates. Rain will develop along the front from parts of the Northeast to parts of the Tennessee Valley, with snow over the Lower Great Lakes on Monday morning. The rain will move off the Northeast to parts of the Northern Mid-Atlantic Coast by Monday evening. The snow will move into parts of the Northern Appalachians into Northern Maine by Monday evening, too. Another front extending from the Upper Great Lakes to the Northern Plains will move southward to Middle Mississippi Valley to the Southern Plain and eastward off the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Coast by Tuesday morning.
