A front extending from the Northern Appalachians to the Southern Appalachians to parts of the Southern Plains will quickly move off the Northeast Coast by late Monday night, while the western portion of the boundary dissipates. Rain will develop along the front from parts of the Northeast to parts of the Tennessee Valley, with snow over the Lower Great Lakes on Monday morning. The rain will move off the Northeast to parts of the Northern Mid-Atlantic Coast by Monday evening. The snow will move into parts of the Northern Appalachians into Northern Maine by Monday evening, too. Another front extending from the Upper Great Lakes to the Northern Plains will move southward to Middle Mississippi Valley to the Southern Plain and eastward off the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Coast by Tuesday morning. The system will produce snow over the Upper Great Lakes on Monday morning moving eastward to Northern Maine by Tuesday morning. Additionally, upper-level energy over the Pacific Northwest to the Northern Rockies will move southeastward to the Ohio Valley/Middle Mississippi Valley by Tuesday evening. The storm will produce rain and higher elevation snow over parts of the Northwest through to Monday evening. Snow and lower elevation rain will develop over parts of the Northern Intermountain Region/Northern Rockies into the Northern High Plains on Monday morning. The region of snow will move into parts of the Northern Plains by Monday evening and into parts of Upper Great Lakes by Tuesday morning. Overnight Monday the upper-level energy will interact with the front over the Middle Mississippi Valley/Southern Plains aiding in the development of low pressure over the Middle Mississippi Valley. The low will move eastward to Eastern Ohio Valley by Tuesday evening dragging the front to Ohio Valley to the Lower Mississippi Valley by Tuesday evening. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along the southern portion of the boundary from the Southern Plains eastward to the Tennessee Valley/Lower Mississippi Valley by Tuesday evening. Rain will develop over parts of the Middle Mississippi Valley early on Tuesday morning that will move to parts of the Lower Great Lakes/Ohio Valley by Tuesday evening, too. Meanwhile, another front over the Pacific will move onshore over the Pacific Northwest and Northern California by Tuesday evening. Rain will begin to move onto the Northwest Coast by Monday evening and expand eastward to the Northern Rockies with snow at the higher elevations by Tuesday evening.
