A front extending from the Northern Appalachians to Southern Appalachian/Eastern Gulf Coast will move off the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Coast by Saturday morning, remaining over the Southeast and Eastern Gulf Coast through Sunday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Southeast/Central Gulf Coast and the Southern Mid-Atlantic through Saturday evening. In addition, rain/freezing rain will develop over parts of Northern Maine on Friday morning. Similarly, rain will develop along the boundary from the Central Appalachians to parts of the Northeast on Friday morning, moving off the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic Coast by Friday evening into later Friday night. Meanwhile, another complicated system extending from the Northern Plains to the Central Rockies/Great Basin will move eastward to the Upper Great Lake to parts of the Middle Mississippi Valley into parts of the Southern High Plains by Saturday evening. Onshore flow will aid in producing coastal rain and higher elevations snow over parts of the Pacific Northwest through Friday evening. Snow and lower elevation rain will develop closer to the front from parts of the Northern/Central Rockies to parts of the Northern Plains on Friday morning with rain and snow expanding into parts of the Upper Mississippi Valley by Friday evening. Snow and lower elevation rain will also develop over parts of the Central Rockies expanding into parts of the Southern High Plains through Saturday evening. By Saturday morning rain and snow will move into parts of Upper Great Lakes/Middle Mississippi Valley and parts of the Central Plains. The rain and snow will continues over parts of the Upper Great Lakes and parts of the Middle/Upper Mississippi Valley through Saturday evening. Additionally on Saturday, an approaching front off the Northwest Coast will producing rain along parts of the Pacific Northwest into parts of Northern California coastal regions.
