A quasi-stationary front across the Gulf Coast will slowly dissipate over the Western Gulf Coast as the boundary settles southward over the Florida Peninsula by Friday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along the Gulf Coast ending over the Western Gulf Coast by Thursday afternoon, while continuing over the Central/Eastern Gulf Coast and parts of the Southeast through Friday. Meanwhile, upper-level trough over the Northwest will intensify and move inland to the Great Basin/Rockies while digging southward to the Mexican boarder by Friday. Rain and higher elevation snow will develop over the Pacific Northwest inland to the Northern/Central Rockies and as far south as Northern California/Great Basin on Wednesday evening through to Friday morning. Rain with embedded thunderstorms will also develop over parts of the Northern High Plains into parts of the Central Rockies on Wednesday evening. The rain with embedded thunderstorms will move into parts of the Northern Plains by Thursday morning. Showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Northern/Central High Plains into part of the Upper Midwest by Thursday evening that will move onto parts of the Central Plains by Friday morning.
