Upper-level low over the Mid-Atlantic will slowly weekend and move out over the Western Atlantic by overnight Saturday. Rain will develop from parts of Northern New England/Northern Appalachians southward to the Carolinas/Central Appalachians on Friday evening that will end over the Carolinas and Central Appalachians by Saturday afternoon. The rain will continue over parts of the Northern Appalachians/New England through Saturday night when the precipitation will merge with the system moving eastward from the Great Lakes. Meanwhile, another upper-level low over California will the Central Rockies/Great Basin by Sunday morning. The system will produce rain with embedded thunderstorms from California to parts of the Northern/Central Rockies and the Southwest continuing over parts of the Central/Northern Rockies and parts of the Great Basin/California through Sunday morning.
