An upper-level low over the Mid-Atlantic will slowly move northeastward to Southern New England by Tuesday evening. Rain will develop over parts of the Mid-Atlantic with embedded thunderstorms over parts of the Central Appalachians by Monday afternoon into evening. The rain with embedded thunderstorms will move into parts of New England on Tuesday morning while the rain ends over the Mid-Atlantic. The rain with embedded thunderstorms will continue over New England through Tuesday evening. Meanwhile, a deep upper-level trough over the western third of the country will be quasi-stationary through Tuesday evening.
