A weakening front extending from the Northern Appalachians roughly southwestward to the Southern Plains will slowly dissipate while the northern portion of the boundary links up with another front moving eastward over the Upper Midwest on Friday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along and near the boundary from parts of the Northeast to the Tennessee Valley and westward to parts of the Southern Plains will move off the Northeast Coast by Friday evening, while diminishing to an area over parts of the Mid-Atlantic by Saturday morning. Meanwhile, an upper-level low over the Southern Plains will be mainly quasi-stationary slowly inching towards the Western Gulf Coast by Saturday morning. The system will produce showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Southern High Plains and the Southern Plains/Lower Mississippi Valley through Saturday. In addition, showers and thunderstorms associated with Tropical Depression Bonnie will move off the Southern Mid-Atlantic Coast overnight Thursday. Furthermore, daytime heating and tropical moisture will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Southeast mainly during the afternoon and evening on Thursday and Friday. Additionally, onshore flow from the Pacific will aid in producing rain over parts of the Pacific Northwest into parts of the Northern Intermountain Region through late Thursday night then ending by Friday morning as the onshore flow weakens. In the meantime, a front over the Northern High Plains/Northern Rockies will move southeastward to the Upper Mississippi Valley/Upper Great Lakes then roughly southwestward to the Southern High Plains by Saturday.
