A front extending from New England to the Mid-Atlantic roughly southwestward to parts of the Tennessee Valley will move off the East Coast by Wednesday morning. Part of the boundary will remain over parts of Florida through Thursday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Northeast into parts of Northern Mid-Atlantic, ending over the Northern Mid-Atlantic by Tuesday evening and over New England by Wednesday morning. Showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of Southern Florida through Thursday. In addition, rain will develop over the Lower Great Lakes into the Northeast that will move into New England by Wednesday morning. The rain will end over most of the Northeast by Thursday except for parts of Northern New England and Northern Appalachians. Meanwhile, weak upper-level energy and onshore flow from the Western Gulf of Mexico will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms along the Western Gulf Coast through Thursday. Additionally, upper-level energy and moisture trapped underneath an upper-level ridge centered roughly over the Rockies will aid in producing afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Great Basin into the Rockies on Tuesday and Wednesday. Furthermore, upper-level energy moving over the top of the upper-level ridge will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Upper Mississippi Valley on Wednesday morning into afternoon that will move into parts of the Middle Missouri Valley and Upper Mississippi Valley by Thursday.
