An upper-level low near Northern Maine will aid in producing scattered light rain over parts of Northern New England with a strong daytime heating component through Tuesday. In addition, a weak upper-level low over the Southern Plains/Lower Mississippi Valley and moisture coming northward off the Gulf of Mexico will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Southern Plains eastward to the Southeast through Tuesday. The showers and thunderstorms will have a strong daytime heating component in the areal coverage. Meanwhile, a weak boundary will modify over parts of the Northern/Central Plains into the Great Lakes and parts of the Ohio Valley through Tuesday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop near the front over parts of the Upper Midwest into the Central High Plains to parts of the Ohio Valley through Tuesday. Additionally, upper-level energy over Southern California will move northeastward to the Northern/Central Plains by Tuesday morning. Showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of Central California/Great Basin eastward to the Central/Southern Rockies through late Monday evening. On Tuesday, the energy will reinforce the weak front over the Upper Midwest/Central Plains. Elsewhere, a front over the Eastern Pacific will move onshore over the Pacific Northwest overnight Sunday and move inland to the Northern High Plains to parts of the Great Basin by Tuesday. The system will produce rain over parts of the Pacific Northwest on Monday morning that will expand inland to parts of the Northern Rockies/Northern Intermountain Region by Tuesday morning.
