A slow moving front extending from the Northern Plain to the Southern High Plains that will sluggishly advance the Upper Great Lakes to the Central High Plains. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along and ahead of the boundary from the Northern Plains/Upper Mississippi Valley to the Central Plains will move to the Great Lakes to the Middle Mississippi Valley by Wednesday. In addition, tropical moisture over the Gulf Coast states will move northeastward into the Ohio Valley to the Mid-Atlantic along with an upper-level low over parts of the Lower Mississippi Valley/Tennessee Valley will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms from the Lower Mississippi Valley eastward to the Southeast/Southern Mid-Atlantic with a strong diurnal component to the areal coverage.
