A slow moving front extending from the Northern Plain to the Southern High Plains will sluggishly advance eastward to the Upper Great Lakes to the Central High Plains by Wednesday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along and ahead of the boundary from the Northern Plains/Upper Mississippi Valley to the Central Plains will move to the Great Lakes to the Middle Mississippi Valley also by Wednesday. Under the associated upper-level energy, showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Northern High Plains through Tuesday morning. In addition, tropical moisture over the Gulf Coast states will move northeastward into the Ohio Valley to the Mid-Atlantic by Tuesday morning that will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms from the Lower Mississippi Valley eastward to the Southeast/Southern Mid-Atlantic with a strong diurnal component to the areal coverage through Wednesday. Additionally, an upper-level low over parts of the Lower Mississippi Valley/Tennessee Valley will move into parts of the Ohio Valley by Tuesday morning. The energy will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Ohio Valley eastward to the Mid-Atlantic by Tuesday morning continuing into Wednesday. Meanwhile, onshore flow will aid in producing rain over parts of the Pacific Northwest Coast on Tuesday morning ending by early Wednesday morning. By Tuesday afternoon, the rain will expand into the Northern Intermountain Region and into parts of the Northern Rockies by Tuesday evening continuing into Wednesday morning.
