A front extending from the Lower Great Lakes to the Middle Mississippi Valley will move to the Northeast Coast and become quasi-stationary by Friday evening. Upper-level energy associated with the boundary will aid in producing rain over parts of the Great Lakes on Friday morning through Saturday morning. Showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Northern Appalachian into New England by Friday evening into Saturday evening. In addition, tropical moisture over the Western Gulf Coast eastward to the Southeast and extending into the Mid-Atlantic along with upper-level impulses will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over the region through Saturday evening. Meanwhile, a developing front over the Northern High Plain/Northern Rockies into the Great Basin will move eastward to the Central High Plains westward to the Great Basin will link up with the quasi-stationary front over the Ohio Valley by Saturday evening. The system will aid in developing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Northern Rockies and over parts of the Northern/Central Plains on Friday morning into Saturday evening. The showers and thunderstorms will expand into parts of the Upper Mississippi Valley/Upper Great Lakes by Saturday afternoon into evening. Additionally, moisture rich air and upper-level energy will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Southern/Central Plains moving into parts of the Middle/Lower Mississippi Valley on Friday and Saturday.
