A front extending from the Upper Mississippi Valley to the Great Basin will get reinforced by a front moving south out of Canada while moving eastward to the Northeast/Ohio Valley/Middle Mississippi Valley by Monday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Upper Mississippi Valley/Upper Great Lakes and Middle Mississippi Valley on Sunday morning. The showers and thunderstorms will expand along and ahead of the boundary moving eastward to the Northeast to the Ohio Valley by Monday evening. Upper-level energy over the Northern Appalachians will move northeastward into Southeastern Canada by late Sunday night. The energy will produce showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Coast that will, likewise, will move into Southeastern Canada and off the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic Coast by early Monday morning. Meanwhile, moisture rich air along the Gulf Coast States along with daytime heating will produce showers and thunderstorms from the Western Gulf Coast to the Southeast through Monday evening. In addition, monsoonal moisture and daytime heating will produce showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Southwest/Eastern Great Basin and parts of Central/Southern Rockies on Sunday and Monday afternoon into late evening. Elsewhere, an intensifying upper-level low over Northern California and the Pacific Northwest will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Northern Rockies on Sunday afternoon and evening that will expand over parts of the Pacific Northwest/Northern California by Sunday evening. Daytime heating under the upper-level low will produce showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Pacific Northwest into the Northern Rockies on Monday afternoon into evening.
