Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible across the Mid-Atlantic region tonight. Some thunderstorms could be severe across the Mid-Atlantic. Please refer to products issued by the Storm Prediction Center for further details on the severe weather threat. Precipitation will be minimal across the northeast as slightly cooler and drier air streams in behind the front. Scattered afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms will also continue along the boundary and across the Gulf Coast and southeastern states over the next few days. Storms will be most numerous along the western and central Gulf Coast where deeper moisture will be in place. Temperatures will climb into the upper 90s to 100+ across portions of the Great Basin and Desert Southwest this week. Campbell Graphics available at www.wpc.ncep.noaa.gov/basicwx/basicwx_wbg.php
