A front extending from the Northeast Coast to the Mid-Atlantic then roughly westward to the Southern Plains will move eastward off the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic Coast by Sunday morning and southward to the Southeast and the interior Central Gulf Coast into parts of the Southern Plains by Monday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along and ahead of the boundary from the Northeast to the Lower Mississippi Valley that will move off the Northeast Coast by Sunday morning. The showers and thunderstorms will also move southward into the Southeast and the Central Gulf Coast while extending into the Central Plains/Middle Mississippi Valley by Monday. In addition, upslope flow and upper-level impulse will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms from Sunday evening into Monday for parts of the Central/Southern Appalachians. Another area of upper-level energy over Florida will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Eastern Gulf Coast through Monday. Meanwhile, monsoonal moisture and daytime heating will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Southern/Central Rockies and the Southwest/Eastern Great Basin on Saturday and Sunday afternoon and evening. Furthermore, upper-level energy over the Northern Rockies/Northern Intermountain Region will produce showers and thunderstorms over the area through Sunday evening. By Monday the showers and thunderstorms will move into parts of the Northern High Plains. Onshore flow will aid in producing light rain over parts of the Pacific Northwest on Sunday into Monday.
