Post-Tropical Cyclone Hermine is forecast to stay just off the Northern Mid-Atlantic Coast through Monday, Labor Day. The system will produce rain along parts of the Northern Mid-Atlantic Coast that may be heavy at times also through Monday. The exact path of Hermine is uncertain, for the most up to date forecast on the track and intensity of Hermine check the latest advisory from the National Hurricane Center at www.nhc.noaa.gov. Meanwhile, tropical moisture along the Gulf Coast and upper-level impulses will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms from parts of the Western Gulf Coast to the Eastern Gulf Coast and parts of the Southeast Coast through Monday. In addition, monsoonal moisture and daytime heating will produce showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Central/Southern Rockies and the Central/Southern High Plains on Saturday afternoon into late evening. On Sunday afternoon and evening the showers and thunderstorms will develop over a smaller areas of the Central/Southern Rockies and the Central/Southern High Plains. Additionally, a front extending from the Northern Plains roughly southwestward to the Great Basin will slowly move eastward into parts of the Upper Mississippi Valley and Northern/Central Plains then westward to the Great Basin by Monday, Labor Day. The system will produce showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Northern/Central Plains and Northern/Central High Plains into parts of the Great Basin that will move into parts of the Upper/Middle Mississippi Valley westward to the Northern/Central Rockies by Monday. Upper-level energy moving southward over the Pacific Northwest will aid in producing rain over parts of the Northwest through late Sunday night.
