Cool and unsettled conditions are expected with an anomalous upper low digging southeastward through the Great Lakes...Ohio Valley...and Tennessee Valley the next few days. By Wednesday afternoon into Thursday...increasing amounts of Atlantic moisture wrapping northwestward ahead of the digging upper low should set the stage for a heavy rain event across the central Appalachians and Mid-Atlantic states as it interacts with surface boundary lingering over the region. Elsewhere across the Nation...conditions will stay warm and dry across the northern Rockies while temperatures should lower with a cold front pressing inland over the Pacific Northwest.
