A deep upper-level low over the Great Lakes/Ohio Valley will slowly begin to weaken and move eastward to the Northern Appalachians by Monday. The system will produce rain and thunderstorms over parts of the Great Lakes/Ohio and Tennessee Valleys into the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic that will slowly wane to a much smaller area over the Lower Great Lakes/Northern New England by Monday. In addition, showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Southern Mid-Atlantic into the Southeast Coast through Monday. Another deep upper-level low just off the Pacific Northwest Coast will move southeastward to the Great Basin by Monday morning. Rain and thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Northern/Central Rockies and Eastern Great Basin into parts of the Pacific Northwest Coast into parts of the Northern Intermountain Region by Saturday evening that will expand into parts of the Northern Plains and into parts of the Southwest by Monday. Additionally, rain and thunderstorms will begin to move into parts of Northern/Central California by Sunday morning ending by Monday morning. As the upper-level trough moves inland the snow levels will fall over parts of the Cascades and Sierras producing wet snow at the highest elevations Sunday evening into late Sunday night. Likewise as the trough moves even farther inland, the snow levels will fall over parts of the Northern/Central Rockies producing wet snow at highest elevations late Sunday night into Monday. Elsewhere, upper-level energy over parts of Texas and the Central Plains and a weakening plume of moisture will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Central/Southern High Plains through Sunday afternoon.
