A front extending from the Upper Mississippi Valley to the Central Plains then westward to the Great Basin will move eastward to the Great Lakes and southward to the Southern Plains by Thursday. The system will produce snows over parts of the Northern Rockies into parts of the Northern Plains through Wednesday morning. In addition, rain will develop over parts of the Northern Intermountain Region to parts of the Central Rockies also through Wednesday morning. Additionally, rain will develop over parts of the Northern Plains into the Upper Mississippi Valley on Tuesday morning will expand into parts of the Upper Great Lakes overnight Tuesday and the Central Plains/Middle Mississippi Valley by Wednesday morning. The rain will end by Wednesday afternoon over the Northern Plains and the Central Plains/Upper Mississippi Valley by Wednesday evening. Furthermore, showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Great Basin/Central Rockies on Tuesday morning and expand into parts of the Central Plains/Upper Mississippi Valley by Tuesday evening. Overnight Tuesday, the showers and thunderstorms will move into parts of the Middle Mississippi Valley/Upper Great Lakes and extend from parts of the Upper Great Lakes to the Western Ohio Valley and Southeastern Middle Mississippi Valley by Wednesday evening. Meanwhile, upper-level energy over the Middle Mississippi Valley/Upper Great Lakes by Tuesday morning will move northeastward into Ontario by Tuesday night. The energy will produce a region of showers and thunderstorms ahead of the aforementioned area on Tuesday morning over the Middle Mississippi Valley/Upper Great Lakes through late Tuesday night. Elsewhere, onshore flow off the Western Gulf of Mexico will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Western Gulf Coast Tuesday afternoon into late Wednesday afternoon. Similarly, onshore flow off the Atlantic will produce showers and thunderstorms over parts of eastern Florida through Wednesday evening.
