Low pressure over the Northern/Central Plains will move eastward to the Lower Great Lakes/Ohio Valley by Thursday. The system will produce rain north of the low and showers and thunderstorms south of the low over parts of the Northern Plains into parts of the Upper/Middle Mississippi Valley on Tuesday evening. The showers and thunderstorms will expand into the Central/Southern Plains by Wednesday morning that will move eastward into the Central Appalachians and parts of the Ohio/Tennessee Valleys by Thursday morning. The rain will move eastward into the Great Lakes and parts of the Ohio Valley/Mid-Atlantic/Northeast by Thursday morning, too. Meanwhile, upper-level energy over the Northeast will aid in producing rain and snow over the highest elevations of the Northern Appalachians and parts of Northern New England through Wednesday evening.
