Short Range Forecast Discussion NWS Weather Prediction Center College Park MD 248 AM EST Sun Nov 06 2016 Valid 12Z Sun Nov 06 2016 - 12Z Tue Nov 08 2016 ...Heavy rain possible across portions of the Western Gulf Coast... ...Temperatures will be 10 to 30 degrees above average over the Upper Midwest into parts of the Northern/Central High Plains... An upper-level low over the Central/Southern Rockies will slowly move eastward to the Central Plains by Monday evening. Low-level flow off the Western Gulf of Mexico will stream moisture northward over the Plains that will move into the Upper Great Lakes by Monday as well. The system will produce showers and thunderstorms from the Western Gulf Coast to the Central/Southern High Plains that will move eastward to the Central/Southern Plains and parts of the the Central Gulf Coast by Monday evening into Tuesday. Meanwhile, a front over the Northern Rockies into parts of the Great Basin will move eastward to the Upper Great Lakes to the Southern High Plains by Monday evening. The system will produce rain over parts of the Pacific Northwest/Northern California on Sunday morning waning over the Pacific Northwest by Sunday evening. Rain will also move into parts of the Northern Rockies on Sunday, ending by Sunday night. The boundary will move eastward intersecting the moisture flowing over the Plains on Monday morning producing showers over parts of the Upper Mississippi Valley/Central Plains that will move eastward to the Upper Great Lakes to parts of the Middle Mississippi Valley by Monday evening. Elsewhere, upper-level energy moving over the Northeast will produce rain showers over parts of the Northeast through Sunday evening. Onshore flow off the Atlantic will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of Eastern Florida through Sunday evening.
