A front over the Pacific Northwest to the Southwest will move eastward to Northern Plains, Upper/Middle Mississippi Valley and Southern Plains by Monday. The system will produce rain and higher elevation snow over the Pacific Northwest to Southern California that will move inland to the Central/Southern Rockies and the Southwest by Sunday morning. The precipitation will stop over Northern/Central California by Sunday evening and over Southern California overnight Sunday. As the storm moves onto the Plains, moisture from the Western Gulf of Mexico streams northward into the Upper Midwest by Sunday evening. Showers and thunderstorms will develop ahead of the front over the Central/Southern Plains on Sunday afternoon into evening that will move eastward into parts of the Middle/Lower Mississippi Valley and the Southern Plains by Monday. Rain will also develop over the Central Plains into the Upper/Middle Mississippi Valley by Sunday evening and expand into the Upper Great Lakes/Western Ohio Valley overnight Sunday into Monday. Snow will develop on the northwest side of the precipitation shield also overnight Sunday into Monday over parts of the Northern/Central Plains. A second boundary will move onshore over the Pacific Northwest/Northern California on Sunday evening move inland to parts of the Great Basin by Monday. More rain and higher elevation snow will develop over parts of the Northwest/Northern California Sunday evening into Monday. The rain and higher elevation snow will move into parts of Central California, Great Basin, and the Northern Rockies by Monday morning.
