A storm over the Great Lakes will move northeastward to Northeastern Canada by Thursday. The system will produce showers and thunderstorms from parts of the Ohio Valley to the Central/Eastern Gulf Coast that will move off the Southeast Coast by Wednesday afternoon. The storm will also produce rain from the Great Lakes/Ohio Valley to the Northern Mid-Atlantic and Southern New England that will lift northward into Northern New England overnight Tuesday and moving mainly off the Northeast Coast by Wednesday evening. In addition, snow will develop over parts of the Upper Great Lakes/Upper Mississippi Valley and Northern New England that will wane over the Upper Peninsula of Michigan Wednesday morning. The snow will also retreat northward into Canada from most of Northern New England with a region of rain/freezing rain overnight Tuesday. Furthermore, upper-level energy over the Central Plains/Middle Mississippi Valley on Wednesday afternoon will move to the Southern Mid-Atlantic/Southeast Coast Thursday. The storm will produce an area of snow over parts of the Central Plains/Middle Mississippi Valley on Wednesday morning that will move into parts of the Ohio Valley by Wednesday evening. The snow will move into parts of the Lower Great Lakes/Northern Mid-Atlantic and into parts of New England by Thursday. Rain will also develop over parts of the Southern Ohio Valley/Tennessee Valley on Wednesday afternoon that will move into the Southeast/Southern Mid-Atlantic by Thursday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of Florida Wednesday evening into Thursday. Meanwhile, upper-level energy over the Northern Intermountain Region will move to the Middle Mississippi Valley by Wednesday afternoon.
