An upper-level low over the Tennessee Valley will move eastward off the Southeast Coast and develop a front over parts of the Western Atlantic by Sunday evening. the system will produce showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Eastern Gulf Coast that will move eastward off the Southeast Coast overnight Sunday. Rain will also develop over parts of the Southern Ohio and Tennessee Valleys along with parts of the Central/Southern Appalachian that will move into parts of the Mid-Atlantic/Central Appalachians and dissipate by Sunday evening. Meanwhile, an upper-level low over Northwestern Mexico will slowly weaken and move eastward to the Central/Southern High Plains by Monday. The storm will produce rain and higher elevation snow over parts of California, the Great Basin, and Southwest ending over most of California by Sunday morning. The rain and higher elevation snow over the Great Basin/Southwest will continue through Sunday and expand into the Central/Southern Plains also on Sunday that will start to wane overnight Sunday into Monday. In addition, upper-level energy associated with the upper-level low will move into the Northwest will aid in producing rain and higher elevation snow over the Pacific Northwest into parts of the Northern Rockies overnight Saturday into early Sunday morning. As the upper-level low moves eastward, circulation around the low will aid in streaming moisture into Eastern Texas that will move northward to the Middle Mississippi Valley by Monday. Showers and thunderstorms will begin to develop over parts of the Western Gulf Coast on Sunday. The showers and thunderstorms will expand into Oklahoma by Sunday evening and into parts of the Middle Mississippi Valley by Monday. In the meantime, additional upper-level energy will move into the Pacific Northwest overnight Saturday moving eastward to the Northern High Plains by Monday. A plume of moisture will move into California by Sunday evening. Overnight Saturday, rain and higher elevation snow will develop over parts of Northern California into the Pacific Northwest. Overnight Sunday into Monday, rain and higher elevation snow will develop over parts of Central/Southern California. Additionally, rain will begin to develop over parts of the Northern High Plain/Northern Plains late Sunday night into Monday.
