A front extending from the Lower Great Lakes/Central Appalachians to the Lower Mississippi Valley will move eastward off the East Coast by Wednesday afternoon. Showers and thunderstorms will develop a long and ahead of the boundary from the Southern Appalachians to the Lower Mississippi Valley/Western Gulf Coast that will retreat to the Central/Western Gulf Coast by Wednesday morning. In addition, rain will develop a long the front from the Lower Great Lakes/Ohio Valley to the Central Appalachians/Tennessee Valley that will move off the Eastern Sea Board by Wednesday afternoon. Showers and thunderstorms will develop over Florida on Wednesday afternoon that will linger a long the Southeast Florida Coast by Thursday morning. Rain will also develop over the Northeast with areas of rain/freezing rain over parts of Northern New England overnight Tuesday into Wednesday morning. The rain will end by Wednesday evening. In the wake of the storm, light snow will develop over parts of the Upper Mississippi Valley that will move into the Upper Great Lakes by Wednesday and over night Wednesday the snow will expand into parts of the Northeast.
