An upper-level low will move out of the Central/Southern High Plains that will advance eastward to the Middle Mississippi Valley by Saturday evening. Moisture from the Gulf of Mexico will stream northward parallel to the storms associated cold front and overrunning the warm front from parts of the Middle Mississippi Valley to the Great Lakes. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along and ahead of the cold front over parts of the Southern Plains that will expand northward to the Middle Mississippi Valley by Friday evening. The showers and thunderstorms will move eastward to parts of the Western Ohio Valley/Tennessee Valley and Central Gulf Coast/Southeast by Saturday. Rain will also develop over parts of the Central Plains into the Great Lakes/Ohio Valley that will continue into Saturday evening from the Great Lakes to parts of Southern New England. In addition, areas of rain/freezing rain will develop over parts of the Northern Appalachians on Friday morning into early Friday afternoon. Additionally, snow will develop over parts of Northern New England that will end by Saturday morning. Furthermore, snow over parts of the Central Rockies that will slowly end by Friday evening. Meanwhile, a front moving onshore over the Pacific Northwest/Northern California will move eastward to parts of the Rockies by Saturday evening. A plume of moisture will move into parts of Northern/Central California that will slowly move southward to Southern California and weaken by Saturday. Rain and higher elevation snow will develop over parts of the Pacific Northwest and Northern/Central California that will expand eastward into parts of the Northern Rockies/Great Basin by Saturday morning. The rain and higher elevation snow will weaken over California by Saturday evening. In addition, snow and lower elevation rain will move into parts of the Southwest on Saturday into Saturday evening.
