Short Range Forecast Discussion NWS Weather Prediction Center College Park MD 358 PM EDT Fri May 05 2017 Valid 00Z Sat May 06 2017 - 00Z Mon May 08 2017 ...Heavy rain possible over parts of Northern New England... ...Temperatures will be 10 to 15 degrees below average from the Great Lakes to Ohio Valley and the Central/Southern Appalachians... Low pressure over the Mid-Atlantic will move northward to Quebec by Sunday. Showers and thunderstorm will develop along and ahead of the associated front over parts of the Mid-Atlantic will move into parts of Southern New England overnight Friday. Rain will develop from the Lower Great Lakes/Ohio Valley to parts of Central/Southern Appalachians into parts of the Northeast that will continue over the region through to Sunday morning. Meanwhile, a front extending from the Upper Mississippi Valley/Upper Great Lakes northwestward to the Northern Plains will move southeastward to off the Southeast/Southern Mid-Atlantic Coast while extending from parts of Eastern Gulf Coast to the Lower Mississippi Valley northwestward to the Northern High Plains by Sunday morning. The system will produce rain over parts of the Upper Great Lakes that will mover southeastward across parts of the Ohio Valley on Saturday.
