A front extending from the Southeast Coast to the Lower Mississippi Valley will develop a deepening wave of low pressure over the Southeast that will move off the Southern Mid-Atlantic Coast on Saturday. The low will deepen off the Northern Mid-Atlantic Coast and move northward to just south of the New England Coast by Sunday. A slow-moving front will pass through the Pacific Northwest, Intermountain West and Great Basin this weekend spreading rain showers and mountain snow as far east as the Northern High Plains. Temperatures will soar ahead of the frontal boundary-- high temperatures across the Great Basin to Northern Rockies could potentially reach 15 degrees above normal.
