Tropical storm Cindy will move northward into the Western/Central Gulf Coast and slowly weaken. The storm will produce heavy rain over parts of the Lower Mississippi Valley and Central/Eastern Gulf Coast. Some of the embedded thunderstorms may become severe. Check the National Hurricane Center for the latest advisory for the most up to date track and intensity of Cindy. Old boundary extending from Southern Mid-Atlantic to the Southern Plains will slowly dissipate overnight Wednesday. The front will aid in the development of showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Southern Mid-Atlantic to parts of the Southeast through late Wednesday night. Moisture associated with T. S. Cindy will move into parts of the Tennessee and Southern Ohio Valley on Thursday into Thursday evening producing showers and thunderstorms over the area. Meanwhile, another front extending from the Northern Plains to parts of the Great Basin and a warm front extending from the Northern Plains into the Ohio Valley will impact the weather over those areas. The warm front will lift northward into parts of the Great Lakes and the Northern Mid-Atlantic by Thursday evening. Showers and thunderstorms will develop ahead of the warm front from the Northern Plains into parts of the Ohio Valley that will move into parts of the Upper Mississippi Valley/Upper Great Lakes on Wednesday afternoon into evening. Showers and thunderstorms will develop over the Eastern Ohio Valley into parts of the Northeast that will dissipate overnight Wednesday. Overnight Wednesday, showers and thunderstorms will develop along and ahead of the cold front from the Upper Mississippi Valley southwestward to the Southern High Plains that will move into the Upper/Lower Great Lakes by Thursday evening. Elsewhere, upper-level energy over the Central/Southern Rockies will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Central/Southern Rockies Wednesday and Thursday afternoon into evening.
