A weak front extending across the Southeast to the Southern High Plains will slowly dissipate by Monday afternoon. Moisture rich air along the Gulf Coast/Southeast and upper-level energy will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms along the Southern Mid-Atlantic/Southeast westward to the Western Gulf Coast through Monday evening. The greatest areal coverage will be during the late afternoon into the late evening on Sunday and Monday. A second front extending from Great Lakes to the Middle Mississippi Valley/Northern Plains will move southeastward to Lower Great Lakes/Ohio Valley and become quasi-stationary by Sunday evening. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along and ahead of the boundary from the Great Lakes southwestward into parts of the Middle Mississippi Valley that will move to the Northeast/Ohio Valley/Northern Mid-Atlantic by Monday into Monday evening. Meanwhile, a third front extending from the Northern High Plains/Northern Rockies into parts of the Great Basin that will move eastward to the Northern Plains into parts of the Central Rockies by Monday evening. The system will produce showers and thunderstorms from the Northern High Plains/Northern Rockies that will move eastward to parts of the Upper Mississippi Valley and Northern/Central Plains by Monday evening. In addition, monsoonal moisture, upper-level energy, and daytime heating will aid in developing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Southern/Central Rockies and parts of the Great Basin/Southwest as well as parts of the Central High Plains through Monday evening.
