Moisture rich air will remain across Gulf Coast States and the Southeast. Daytime heating and upper-level impulses along with the moisture will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms along the Southeast and the Western to Eastern Gulf Coast through Tuesday evening. Maximum areal coverage with the storms will be during the late afternoon into the late evening on Monday and Tuesday. In addition, a front extending from the Lower Great Lakes/Ohio Valley northwestward into the Middle Missouri Valley will be quasi-stationary and slowly start to dissipate by Tuesday evening. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along and ahead of the boundary from parts of the Lower Great Lakes to the Ohio Valley that will expand into parts of the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic by Monday afternoon and linger over the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic/Central Appalachians through Tuesday evening. In the meantime, a front extending from the Northern Plains into parts of the Great Basin will slowly move eastward to the Upper Great Lakes/Upper Mississippi Valley southwestward to parts of the Middle Missouri Valley by Tuesday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along and ahead of the boundary over parts of the Northern Plains into Great Basin that will likewise move into the Upper Great Lakes/Middle Missouri Valley and the Northern Plains by Tuesday evening. Elsewhere, monsoonal moisture and daytime heating/upper-level energy will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Southwest/Great Basin and the Central/Southern Rockies through Tuesday.
