A wave of low pressure along a front extending from Mid-Atlantic to the Middle Mississippi Valley into the Southern Plains will advance eastward from the Middle Mississippi Valley to off Southern New England Coast by Tuesday. The system will produce showers and thunderstorms from parts of the Mid-Atlantic to parts of the Middle/Lower Mississippi Valley and the Southern Plains on Sunday evening. As the wave moves eastward, showers and thunderstorms will expand into parts of the Northeast by Monday afternoon moving off the Northeast Coast by Tuesday. Showers and thunderstorms will continue to develop along the boundary from the Southern Plains to the Southeast/Southern Mid-Atlantic on Monday and Tuesday. Meanwhile, upper-level energy over the Northern Plains into the Great Lakes will move southeastward to the Ohio Valley/Northeast by Tuesday. The energy will aid in developing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Northern/Central High Plains eastward into the Great Lakes that will wane slightly by Monday morning. The showers and thunderstorms will redevelop over parts of the Central Plains into the Great Lakes/Ohio Valley on Monday afternoon ending overnight Monday. In addition, weak upper-level impulses extending from Northern California to the Central Rockies will produce showers and thunderstorms over the region through Tuesday.
