A front extending from the Lower Great Lakes/Central Appalachians into the Tennessee Valley westward into the Southern Plains will move eastward to off the Northeast/Northern Mid-Atlantic Coast and extend from the Southeast westward to the Southern Plains by Sunday evening into Monday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along and ahead of the boundary from the Lower Great Lakes to the Southern Plains that will likewise move eastward off the Northeast/Northern Mid-Atlantic Coast by Sunday evening. Showers and thunderstorms will also extend westward from the Southern Mid-Atlantic/Southeast to the Southern Plains on Saturday into Sunday evening. In addition, upper-level energy ahead of the front will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Northeast into the Mid-Atlantic that will move off the Northeast Coast by Saturday evening as the convection along the front will catch up to the storms over the Mid-Atlantic. Furthermore, moisture rich air over the Southeast to the Southern Mid-Atlantic will aid in developing showers and thunderstorms over the region through Sunday morning. Meanwhile, upper-level energy over the Northern High Plains will slowly move southeastward to the Middle/Upper Mississippi Valley by Sunday evening. Showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Northern/Central High Plains that will slowly move into parts of the Upper/Middle Mississippi Valley by Sunday evening. Additionally, monsoonal moisture and daytime heating will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Southwest/Great Basin and the Central/Southern Rockies on Saturday and Sunday afternoon into late evening. Elsewhere, a front will move onshore over the Pacific Northwest overnight Saturday and move inland to the Northern High Plains to parts of the Great Basin by Sunday evening. The system will produce rain over parts of the Pacific Northwest Coast that will move inland to parts of the Northern Rockies by Sunday evening.
