Tropical Storm Harvey is forecast to move northeastward into the Ohio Valley by Friday evening while weakening. Harvey will produce heavy rain over parts of the Lower Mississippi Valley that will slowly weaken and come to an end overnight Thursday. The heavy rain will move into parts of the Ohio/Tennessee Valleys Thursday into Friday. See the National Hurricane Center for the latest information on Harvey's track, intensity, and storm total rainfall. In addition, showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Southeast that will move into the Southern Mid-Atlantic by Thursday morning that will continue into Friday. Meanwhile, a front extending from the Great Lakes to the Northern Plains/Upper Mississippi Valley will move southeastward off the Northeast/Northern Mid-Atlantic Coast overnight Thursday. Additionally, the boundary will also extend from the Mid-Atlantic westward to the Lower Mississippi Valley then northwestward into the Northern Plains by Friday morning. Showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Great Lakes into parts of the Upper Mississippi Valley that will, likewise, move into the Northeast on Thursday morning ending by Thursday night. Elsewhere, upper-level energy over parts of the Great Basin/Northern Rockies will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Great Basin into parts of the Northern/Central Rockies that will end by Thursday night. Another front will move onshore over the Northwest on Wednesday evening and advance eastward to the Northern High Plains by Friday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along and ahead of the boundary over the Northern High Plains on Thursday evening that will move into the Northern Plains/Central High Plains by Friday.
