A front extending from the Great Lakes/Ohio Valley to the Middle Mississippi Valley/Central Plains will move eastward to the Eastern Seaboard and southward to the Gulf Coast by Wednesday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along and ahead of the boundary over the Great Lakes/Ohio Valley that will expand into the Middle/Lower Mississippi Valley overnight Monday. Also overnight Monday, the showers and thunderstorms will move eastward into Northern Appalachians/Lower Great Lakes, moving into the Northeast Tuesday into Wednesday. Tuesday afternoon into overnight Tuesday, the showers and thunderstorms along the central and western end of the front will move into the Mid-Atlantic/Southeast and into the Central Gulf Coast. In addition, upper-level energy will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over the Upper Mississippi Valley on Monday evening that will move into the Great Lakes and become rain showers on Tuesday into Wednesday. Additionally, upper-level energy and tropical moisture will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over Florida through Wednesday. Elsewhere, left over moisture from Lidia and daytime heating will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Southwest/Southern California and the Southern/Central Rockies through Wednesday.
