Hurricane Irma is forecasted to move parallel to the West Coast of Florida and move inland on Monday. The storm will produce very heavy rain over the Florida peninsula along with dangerous storm surge and destructive winds through Monday. Meanwhile, an upper-level low off the Southern California Coast will move begin to move north just off the California Coast by Monday evening. Circulation around the upper-level low will stream moisture from Gulf of California/Pacific into the Southwest/Southern California that will weaken on Monday into Monday evening. The moisture will aid in the development of showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Southwest/Great Basin and Southeastern California and parts of the Southern/Central Rockies on Sunday into Monday. Additionally, a front over the Northern High Plains will move eastward to the Upper Great Lakes/Upper Mississippi Valley by Monday evening. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along the front over parts of the Northern High Plains into the Northern Rockies on Sunday that will move into parts of the Upper Mississippi Valley by Monday evening. Furthermore, upper-level energy over the Northern Plains will slowly lift into the Upper Mississippi Valley by Sunday evening and into the Upper Great Lakes and weaken by Monday. The energy will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Northern/Central Plains that will slowly move northeastward into the Upper Mississippi Valley while ending by Sunday evening.
