A deep upper-level trough over the western third of the country will aid in producing rain over parts of the Pacific Northwest that will end by Monday morning. In addition, rain will develop over the Northern Intermountain Region through Tuesday. The same upper-level energy will also aid in developing rain and higher elevation snow over parts of the Northern Rockies and parts of the Northern High Plains where the snow may be heavy at times through Tuesday. Rain and higher elevation snow will also develop over parts of the Central Rockies from Sunday evening into Tuesday. Meanwhile, a front extending from the Northern/Central Plains into parts of the Central Rockies/Southwest will slowly move eastward to the Upper Mississippi Valley/Central Plains into the Southern Rockeis by Tuesday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along and ahead of the boundary from the Upper Mississippi Valley into parts of the Central Plains/Central High Plains that will continue over the region through Tuesday. Elsewhere, tropical moisture over Florida into the Central Gulf Coast will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over the region through Tuesday morning.
